📱 Surat Mandi – Bag Calculator & Billing App

Overview

The Surat Mandi Bag Calculator App was built for vendors and committee members of the Surat Mandi (Agricultural Produce Market). Traditionally, vendors used to manually calculate sack weights and billing on paper, which was time-consuming, error-prone, and lacked digital records.

This mobile solution simplifies the process by allowing vendors to:

• Enter per 20kg price
• Add multiple sack weights
• Get instant bill calculations including tax, commission, and labor charges
• Save soft copies of bills digitally while still retaining the option for hardcopy printouts

Problem Statement

Vendors at Surat Mandi needed a tool that could:

• Reduce manual effort in calculating sack weights and final bills.
• Store records digitally for future reference.
• Provide multilingual support (English, Hindi, Gujarati) for wider accessibility.
• Offer both hardcopy & softcopy options for billing.

Solution

I developed a cross-platform mobile app using Flutter with a clean and user-friendly interface.

Key highlights:

• Simple flow: Enter Price → Add Bags → Calculate → Save/Print.
• Bills are automatically stored in a local database (SQLite) for offline access.
• Supports 3 languages (English, Hindi, Gujarati) using localization.
• Integrated with Google AdMob for monetization.
• Designed with GetX for smooth state management and responsive UI.
